DigiKick CIC
At its core the aim of the Tea and T’internet project is to help people engage with the internet in meaningful ways, we believe that the internet should be a bridge, not a barrier.
Tea and T’internet’s unique approach of social, person-led training ensures that every project is unique and tailored to the needs of the group. Therefore, we go beyond the basic digital needs and support people in new ways, such as navigating employment, supporting people with additional needs and helping people understand misinformation online.
To date, we have supported over 2,500 people. However, with 22% of people in Birmingham not having basic digital skills, there is still a need to keep providing person-led digital training.
EHCP Plus
EHCP Plus automates the initial drafting of Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), significantly reducing the administrative burden on caseworkers. This AI-driven tool integrates various data sources, including educational psychologist reports, school support plans, and medical records, to produce high-quality, compliant drafts.
By handling 80% of the drafting process, EHCP Plus allows practitioners to focus on providing direct support to children and families, rather than being bogged down by paperwork. This not only improves efficiency but also ensures consistency and quality across EHCPs.
The tool's design incorporates real-world examples and has been extensively tested by SEND practitioners, ensuring it meets the practical needs of users.
With EHCP Plus, local authorities can meet statutory deadlines more effectively, provide timely support, and improve outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This strategic innovation addresses a critical bottleneck in the EHCP process, making a substantial impact on service delivery.
Founders and Coders
The London Office of Technology and Innovation (LOTI) has coordinated the Local Authority x FAC apprentice software developer pilot. We are now collaborating with Haringey, Islington, and Camden Councils to expand the model, helping underrepresented groups access tech careers and supporting Local Authorities in offering career opportunities.
In June 2021, Hackney Council established a Commission to understand barriers to jobs in the digital tech economy. Of the 210 survey respondents, 71% lived in social housing, 48% were women, 47% were from Black Caribbean, African or Black British communities, and 23% were disabled. Only 23% felt there were good job opportunities in digital tech in Hackney. Key barriers identified were lack of awareness of available jobs and qualifications, high study costs, and lack of guidance. The top career barriers were insufficient skills or qualifications, need for work experience, and low confidence. Our pilot program addresses these by offering free, supportive career pathways.

TellJO
TellJO uses technology to improve wellbeing and prevent crisis situations, like debt and homelessness.
We work with organisations to proactively offer their customers a digital wellbeing check, a series of mainly yes/no questions to understand a user’s wellbeing level. It generates personalised signposts, for financial, physical or mental health support.
In some cases, we help customers who have arrears. We believe the way arrears are currently pursued causes harm and pushes people further into debt. Instead, we help understand reasons for non-payment to save customer stress and reduce the risk of enforcement by 33%.
User feedback “If I hadn’t had the link for TellJO, then my home was actually at risk, don’t really know where I would be right now.” After completing a wellbeing check, users feel on average 8.6 out of 10 better.

VAAMG Consulting
Our recent work with a public sector client exemplifies this, where we developed a tailored Oracle-based solution to meet their complex HR data reporting needs.
Problem: The client faced significant challenges in collecting, processing, and reporting HR data due to inefficiencies in their legacy systems. The existing process was time-consuming, often taking up to three weeks to validate data, and prone to errors that could affect compliance and reporting accuracy.
Solution: To address these challenges, VAAMG Consulting developed a tailored solution leveraging Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) Data Visualization. This solution automated data collection and processing, creating accurate, static snapshots of HR data. These snapshots allowed for reliable reporting without the risk of retrospective changes affecting previously reported figures. Additionally, our transition from OAC Classic to the latest OAC DV model, supported by Oracle Data Integrator, ensured seamless data integration and aligned with Oracle’s future roadmap.
